Assessment at BFIS

Assessment at BFIS is continuous, fair and transparent. It helps teachers plan the next steps in learning and keeps parents fully informed.

Internal Assessment

  • The academic year has two terms, weighted 30% (First Term) and 70% (Second Term).
  • Each term combines formative assessment (30%: class work, homework, projects, reading, dictation or practicals) and summative term examinations (70%).
  • Mid-term tests are held in both terms; Kindergarten is assessed through ongoing observation and activities.
  • Examination papers are generated from the school’s secure question bank and administered by the Examination Cell under strict confidentiality.
