Admission Process

From registration to confirmation

Admission Steps

StepWhat happens
1Online registration through www.bfis.qa.
2The Examination Cell schedules the admission test according to the child’s age and last class attended.
3The assessment and interview take place (see criteria below). Results are shared by email.
4Successful applicants receive an admission offer and submit the required documents and fees.
5Admission is confirmed once documents are verified and fees are paid; the Examination Office then allocates the class section.

Assessment Criteria

  • KG1: informal oral assessment and interview with the child and parents (vocabulary, colours, numbers, spoken English, confidence and motor skills).
  • KG2: written test, and interview of the child for numeracy, literacy and general knowledge.
  • Years 1–10: written test in English, Mathematics and Science (50% pass mark), followed by an interview with the student and parents. A syllabus guideline is shared after registration.
  • Years 11–13: previous external examination results (minimum 70% for FBISE; Grade C or above for IGCSE/AS/A Level), an internal admission test and an interview.

Admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis subject to seat availability. Documents and fees must be submitted within 10 days of the offer; otherwise, the seat is offered to the next applicant on the waiting list.
