School Committees

Much of the school’s day-to-day leadership is shared through dedicated committees, ensuring that decisions are collaborative, transparent and focused on students.

Committee	Purpose
Academic Council	Oversees academic standards, promotion decisions and exceptional academic cases.
Curriculum Review Committee	Reviews curriculum annually using student performance data, teacher input and MOEHE directives.
Safeguarding & Child Protection Team	Led by the Designated Safeguarding Lead; ensures every child is safe in school, online, on trips and on transport.
Academic Committee	Monitors academic process, devises policies and ensures quality of education.
BFIS Discipline Committee	Upholds the Behaviour Policy fairly and consistently, with a focus on correction through guidance.
Students Counselling Committee	Coordinates emotional, behavioural and academic counselling support.
Activity Committee	Plans, supervises and records all co-curricular activities, events and trips.
School Safety and Security Committee	Oversees campus safety, emergency preparedness, drills and inspections.
School Complaint Committee	Investigates and resolves formal parent concerns fairly and confidentially.
School Coordination Committee	Coordinates the work of all departments and committees, manages the school calendar and ensures MoEHE and school policy requirements are communicated and met.
Recruitment Committee	Shortlists, interviews and appoints qualified staff, applying safer recruitment checks, references and MoEHE approval procedures.
Committee on Private & School Bus Transport	Manages bus routes, drivers, bus supervisors and pick-up/drop-off procedures; monitors private transport arrangements and student safety on the move.
Committee for Promoting the National Identity and Qatari Culture	Promotes Qatari values, Arabic language and Islamic heritage through National Day, National Sport Day, assemblies and cross-curricular links.
Scouts and Guides Committee	Runs scout and guide units, training, camps and community service projects in line with the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association.
School Maintenance Committee	Plans regular inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings, classrooms, labs and equipment, and tracks work orders to completion.
Students’ Affairs Committee	Oversees student records, attendance and punctuality, student council, rewards and recognition, and communication with parents on student matters.
School Information Technology and Digital Committee	Manages IT infrastructure, devices, learning platforms and data protection; promotes digital learning and e-safety, and supports online assessment and exam systems.
