Wellbeing & Safeguarding

The safety and welfare of every child is our highest priority. BFIS follows a whole-school approach to safeguarding, in line with Qatar Law No. 23 of 2015, MOEHE Student Protection policy and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

  • A Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Team covering both wings, digital safety, transport, emotional wellbeing and health.
  • Safer recruitment — qualification verification, MOEHE licensing, references and police clearance for all staff.
  • Regular safeguarding training for all teaching, support and contracted staff.
  • A school counsellor and social worker for individual and group support.
  • Clear anti-bullying procedures, CCTV monitoring and supervised break times.
  • Age-appropriate lessons on personal safety, healthy relationships and online safety.
  • Referral links with MOEHE, Sidra Medicine and AMAN Child Protection Services where needed.
  • A qualified school nurse and licensed First Aid Unit.

Any concern about a child’s safety may be raised with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mr. Mohammad Nasim, or through the Parent Portal.
